Frence Horns

Updated: Apr 26, 2019

French horns which I happily use in many of my projects have become my ecole.

It is a piston wind instrument that resembles a Snail shell with its spiral shape made of a long copper pipe. According to the rumors, the British called this instrument the French horn, which was used in hunts for a period of time.

In the Middle ages, Europeans used natural horns made from brass. It is designed to communicate with distant friends of hunters and to spread fear to enemies by imitating the voices of various animals.

French horns were used as a means of communication in battles as well.

In 1753, the German musician Hampel began designing the horn and adding various keys to the slides and sounds.

In the 19th century, the animation and sounds were changed and updated, and the Modern French Horn was born.
